GLF TRP — BRINGING FUN BACK TO GOLF Pack light.
Swing hard.
CREAM / INK / ORANGE

The challenge

Golf apparel splits into two camps: country-club stuffy or novelty-shop cheap. The opportunity was a brand that takes the game seriously and itself lightly — launched without inventory risk, warehouse overhead, or a staff.

The strategy

Position against the dress code: player-first, loud, and fun. Build the operation so it runs itself — zero-inventory production and automatic fulfillment — so the brand could prove demand before a dollar sat in stock.

The execution

Brand system first: the “Pack light. Swing hard.” tagline, a retro badge mark, a golf-ball mascot, and a product graphics line with its own inside jokes — cream, ink, and orange, set in Bricolage Grotesque. Then the commerce layer: a Shopify store restyled to the identity, connected to its own domain with TLS, wired to print-on-demand production where every order flows from checkout to doorstep untouched.

The outcome

A complete brand and store, live at glftrp.com — hats, polos, quarter-zips, and towels in market, with operations that don't need a human in the loop. Golf Trip now anchors BYOB's golf vertical.

The lessons

Voice is a moat — product photos get scrolled past, but a brand with a personality gets remembered. And automated ops changed the launch math entirely: when fulfillment runs itself, every new product is a test you can afford.

Future opportunities

Tournament merchandise programs, destination collaborations, and the vertical it already spawned — Home Course, the premium club-apparel brand now live on Thread Shed production.
